TENIX AMERICA RECEIVES TOP TRIAL PERFORMER DESIGNATION FROM CWID
Boeing Sponsored MI2 Solution Included Tenix America, Provided Information Sharing Within and Across Multi-Level Security Information Domains
McLean, VA February 15, 2006 Tenix America, a developer of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based Cross-Domain Connectivity Solutions (CDX) for government and commercial organizations, today announced that the Multi-level-secure Information Infrastructure (MI2) was deemed a top trial performer in the 2005 Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID). The solution, which featured Tenix’s recent EAL-7 accredited Intractive Link Data Diode, and Boeing’s Secure Network Server, was recommended by CWID’s Senior Management Group.
“Today’s intelligence and homeland security communities need cross domain security and information sharing solutions,” said Sam Maccherola, president of Tenix Datagate. “Having CWID recognize our Data Diode following our EAL-7 certification from the U.S. National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) reinforces that this technology is ready for deployment. We were honored to work with our partner Boeing as part of the MI2 solution and feel that together we offered a great method for providing interoperability between disparate organizations operating at different security levels.”
As a recommended technology solution, according to CWID, the Boeing sponsored MI2 submission is one of the top technologies warranting possible fielding within the next 12 to 18 months. The combined MI2 solution provides military users information sharing within and across multi-level security information domains, enhanced situational awareness, and information surveillance reconnaissance (ISR) dissemination.
“MI2 addresses some of the critical interoperability capabilities that are necessary to protect our nation from terrorist threats,” said Brian Knutsen, general manager of Boeing S&IS Mission Systems. “I’m pleased that the Department of Defense has affirmed this integrated software and hardware solution, which is well positioned to support information sharing among intelligence, national security, federal, state and local authorities.”
CWID, which is sponsored by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, enables U.S. Combatant Commands and the international community to investigate Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions that focus on relevant and timely objectives for enhancing coalition interoperability. The demonstration builds a temporary global network over which cutting-edge communication technologies interact to support a scripted scenario. Technologies are evaluated for utility and interoperability with existing and other new systems, and security.
